Whew! We are home before six o'clock on Friday, and pooped! We had a better day today...had a very good visit of at least 30 minutes with a second (and better) neurologist who was more realistic and honest I think. We will meet with him again on Monday at 11:00, and tentatively plan the next steps. Scott is still being very responsive with his eyes and some expressions, and just seems to so so close to responding...but we are not there yet. This neurologist seems much more thorough, and honest, and says that after 24 years of practice that you cannot predict the results of damage such as Scott has had. He also said that Scott did NOT have a stroke, no blood or fluid on the brain...just general damage caused by lack of oxygen for some short period of time. We will not know how much and specifically what kind of damage until he is more responsive. He is doing another EEG to see if there might be some slight seizure activity just in the brain which would slow his recovery. He has had no outward seizures since 11:00 a.m. Thursday, and all his bodily functions are very good...no infections, temp good...just a really good day in general. in those respects

So...we just have to be sure to give him plenty of recovery time, get him back with us, and work with him. He is young, healthy, and they say stubbornness, determination and faith will help...and he has those in great supply.  Hopefully we will make some good progress this weekend. Right now I am gonna flake out for a few hours!

We miss being in church and class, and appreciate your thoughts and prayers.  I will not update again until sometime after the meeting on Monday, unless there are big changes.

Hold Brandon Roy up to the God who can perform miracles. He needs extreme prayer. Please pray in the name of Jesus that God will be glorified by his healing.

Joey Feek, wife of Rory, has cancer and has been going through
treatments in Chicago and Atlanta for the last several months and received
news from her Doctors last Thursday that the Chemo and Radiation are not working.
 
They returned to their farm south of Nashville at Pottsville, TN and Rory wrote

They have a 1 1/2 year old daughter, Indiana.  Indy has down syndrome.
 
If you are not familiar with them, they are Country Music entertainers on RFD-TV
and sometimes Branson, MO.

Please add Rebecca Williams to the prayer list - she and her husband Nick are expecting their 2nd baby in December. Rebecca's been told she has gestational diabetes (her mom had severe diabetes). She's taking insulin until her baby boy is born and asks for prayers that the diabetes will not continue after he's born. Please keep Rebecca and Nick and the baby in your prayers over the next few weeks. We are praying against this disease!!

Thanks to Ron for our last lesson on Generosity! We learned how God measures generosity. It's not the size of the gift but the size of the sacrifice. Also, the INCARNATION was a graduate course in Generosity.

Pray/Praise

- Pray for those in Stillwater, Ok (tragic accident) There have been 4 fatalities

- Martha Holmes- Pray for her friend Denise, Denise's son commit suicide.

- Robert Fry- His sister Donna Greene has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's

-Don Ferril- Denise has been having dental pain and asked Don to pray for her and has been free from pain ever since!

-Bob Waldron- Pray for Gina, she is still having complications from her eye surgery & will see surgeon this week.

-Sue Taylor- Pray for Bill and Treva Black.  Treva is in the last stages of her life.

-Nash and Lavita- Their great grand daughter Meghan had surgery, pray for healing

                           - Pray for Connie, she is still struggling to keep food down. 

                           - They are also going to be travelling to Kansas to see Nash's 92 year old sister.  Pray for safe travel and a good visit.

Robert Fry- Remember Tim Hogan and May, they will be travelling home from Congo next Sunday.

Marilyn- Jack Grider passed away.  Pray for his wife Kelly and family. Still waiting on arrangements. 

Judy- Pray for Wanda Jones who fell and had a brain bleed.  She is now in rehab.

Hector- Pray for Haltom City.  Our high school D-Groups will be providing a thanksgiving dinner to the residents at Spanish Square Apartments on Nov 15.

We need 6 Turkeys, cooked, sliced and ready to be served that day.  If you bring them to class that morning, we can get them there.  We have already recieved money from some of you that can be used to buy 2 cooked turkeys.  So we need 4 more volunteers!

Marilyn--could you send out an e-mail to remind the class about the prayer vigil on Saturday (the 26th) at 6pm in the church prayer room, for Pastor Saeed and other Christians being held hostage and persecuted. It is important that we take action and pray together for them.  God has commanded us to do this.  Others around the world will be praying that day for the same reason. Hope to see lots from our class there and spread the word if anyone else wants to join us.--Thanks--Martha

Hi! You may be having breakfast right now! Praying for david and the village trip! Enjoy town church! You will do great! Hope to see photos of the village trip! Actually you did not put up pictures of the tour today! It was a great report! Sounds really exciting! We want pictures and know Shelley does, too.

Got here around 3 and visited with ur mom. We went to eat at Italian place with Becky and James. So yummy! Then went over to Larry and ann's with nomi and had a good visit.

In bed now and tired - oh, the doc gave me oral steroid pills to take for 2 weeks so hope it will help the pain. Will let you know!
